Ribbon Barrette

This barrette is so adorable and so easy to make!!!

Supplies needed: grosgrain ribbon(we used 7/8") stamps, (we used small CTR) and ink for fabric, (we used our Crafter's Ink), empty barrette, wire. Other stamps that are the perfect size for this project are: HLJ small, Youth Activity, the star in Witness of God set, and Child of God set.

Step 1-Depending on size of barrette and how fluffly you want it, cut a length of ribbon, we did 24 inches.

Step 2- Stamp the ribbon with Crafter's Ink.

Step 3- Heat set the ribbon with a heat gun or simply throw in clothes dryer for 10 minutes.

Step 4- Make the first loop about 8 inches down the ribbon and then make a few more loops back and forth.  Twist the ribbon so that the stamped side is always showing.

Step 5- Pinch the middle of all the loops and wrap with wire.

Step 6- Cut another piece of ribbon about ten inches.  We used a coordinating ribbon but could use the same ribbon.  Tie a single knot in the middle of the ribbon and wrap around bow to cover wire.

Step 7- Using the wire ends and the knot ribbon, wrap around barrette, once it is secure, cut ends.  Can also use hot glue to secure the knot ribbon around barrette.

Step 8- Put it in your daughter's hair!!
